Just a quick word to share with you. This can work for both Genders:

Proverbs 31:30 (ESV)
30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Happy Mother's Day - May 10, 2015

Good Morning dear ones:
Happy Mother's Day! I am grateful that Rae and Justin drove in to see me. My beautiful mother is on the other side of the world. I wish you all a blessed day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother. 1 John 4:9-11, 21
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know a lot of us love to hear "I love you" but showing how much you love sometimes speaks more than words.
God loves to hear "I love you" but more than that we need to show Him how much we love Him. One of the best ways to show our love for God is to love one another. Yes, God likes to hear us say, "I love you," but He would rather see us say, "I love you." As we worship today, let's tell God we love him but more important let's remember to show Him we love Him by loving one another.

Hannah's mothering example - May 9, 2015

Hannah is one of the most inspiring mothers in the Bible, although her story is less well-known. Despite years of patience and prayer, she remained unable to have a child. One day “in her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the LORD, weeping bitterly”—and God answered her prayer at last. But Hannah’s character truly shone when, in gratitude to God, she dedicated her newborn son to His service. Her son would one day become one of Israel’s greatest prophets.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 Samuel 1:26-28 ESV
26 And she said, “Oh, my lord! As you live, my lord, I am the woman who was standing here in your presence, praying to the Lord. 27 For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him. 28 Therefore I have lent him to the Lord. As long as he lives, he is lent to the Lord.”
You can read the whole story of Hannah and her struggles in 1 Samuel 1. I am off to dog obedience school with Charlie. I hope you all have a great Saturday.
Song in my heart - May 8, 2015
Good Morning Dear ones:
I woke myself up this morning. . . singing a hymn. It made me smile because of all the garbage that I put into my head all day, God's truth was able to come out of my mouth. That was so neat!
I did not have the best of days yesterday, but there was God's joy, in spite of the sorrow, coming out of me. It makes me happy that the Holy Spirit was able to continue to worship, in spite of myself. He continued to use me even when I didn't feel very useful. It gave me hope.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Psalm 77:6 (ESV)
6 I said, “Let me remember my song in the night;
let me meditate in my heart.”
Then my spirit made a diligent search:
~~~~~~~~~~
I am going to strive to put some more songs in heart today.
I hope you all have a great day.
2nd cup of coffee - May 7th, 2015
Good Morning Dear Ones:
First of all I want to Welcome our Diane back. You were very missed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (ESV)
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
~~~~~~~~~~~
I am rejoicing this morning that the storms of last night did not do more damage that they did. For those who have lifted us up in prayer the last couple of days, thank you. I am going to go get my second cup of coffee. I hope you all have a blessed day.
Hugs,
I do set My bow in the clouds - May 6, 2015
Good Morning dear ones:
It was a windy and wet night last night here in North Texas. However, I am holding onto a promise from God, made in the very first chapter of the Bible and the hope that comes, with every rainbow that I see:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Genesis 9: 12-17 ESV
12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: 13 I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” 17 God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.”

Hugs to you all,
